Jeff Peterson

Jeff Peterson is a Christian businessman with over 40 years experience in the financial services industry. He graduated from SMU, majoring in Finance with an emphasis in Investments and Portfolio Management.

He began his career as a stockbroker with Paine Webber in 1980. In 1991 he and his wife formed their own tax preparation and investment business called Tax Prep Financial Services. The company’s slogan is “Pay YOURSELF, not the IRS.”

Specializing in tax preparation of home-based businesses, he has become one of the foremost experts in the country on preparation of income tax returns containing the cosmetics business of a certain global cosmetics company. In fact, the tax side of the business expanded so much and so rapidly among Consultants and Directors within that company that he is no longer doing investments. 

Currently over ninety percent of his clients own their own businesses, and approximately ninety percent of those are Independent Beauty Consultants, Sales Directors, Senior Sales Directors, Executive Senior Sales Directors, and National to Executive National Sales Directors of that certain global cosmetics company, which is headquartered in Dallas and likes to award its top producers with pink Cadillacs. (Okay, do we all know which company that is?) He has prepared thousands of tax returns containing that particular type of business and currently has over 400 clients across the U.S., over 100 of whom are Sales Directors to Executive National Sales Directors. In fact, Jeff contends that there is not another single tax preparer in the country who prepares as many of these type of returns as he does, and that he prepares approximately 50-100 times as many of these type of returns as most preparers.

And now he helps Directors to National produce more Directors by teaching their Units and National Areas his success proven 1-minute per day record keeping system and showing them the tax advantages of operating a home-based cosmetics business. The hundreds of Directors to Executive Nationals to whom he has spoken have given him the name Jeff The Tax Man.
